Dr. Javaheri’s Keynote on Gender Equality Available Now

The Bahá’í Community of Aurora recently organized a public gathering in honour of International Women’s Day, bringing together members of the community for reflection, conversation, and presentations on the equality of women and men.

The spirit of the event, which was held on March 8, 2026, was beautifully captured by the words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá:

“The world of humanity has two wings—one is women and the other men. Not until both wings are equally developed can the bird fly. Should one wing remain weak, flight is impossible.”

This passage reflects a central principle of the Bahá’í Faith: that the advancement of humanity depends on the full equality and participation of women and men.

The event included presentations from several speakers, including Dr. Javaheri, whose remarks offered a thoughtful contribution to the discussion.

For those who were unable to attend, Dr. Javaheri has prepared a pre-recorded version of the keynote speech he delivered at the event, which is available below. Please note that this video is not footage from the event itself, but a recording of Dr. Javaheri’s presentation for those who missed it.

We are grateful to the Bahá’í Community of Aurora, the speakers, and everyone who attended and contributed to this meaningful public gathering.
